This is neighborhood showcase many older well kept homes and gives you a very comfortable and homey feeling. Sellwood has many antique stores and good quality restaurants that makes it a destination for many.

Eating in Sellwood

As one of my favorite pastimes is eating, let me give you some recommendation if you are visiting Sellwood

• A Cena ristorante (7742 SE 13th Ave) -- Opened at the end of 2007 and it is a wonderful neighborhood fine dining. Italian food inspired, you will not be disappointed
• Gino's/Leiptzig Tavern (8057 SE 13th Ave) -- Family Italian dishes, very casual and informal. It is always packed so call in advance.
• Grand Central Bakery (7987 SE 13th Street ) -- For fantastic bread to take home or sandwiches to eat at the location. Nice desserts too.
• Caprial's (7015 SE Milwaukie Ave) -- Caprial is Portland's famous restaurateur star. She and her husband have a cooking show on the cooking channel. The food is delizioso.
• Picazzo -- Opened in March of 2008. Pizza sandwiches, salads right on 13th Ave.
• Papa Hayden West (5829 SE Milwaukie Ave Ph Tel: (503) 232-9440) -- This is the sister location for the Papa Hayden on NW 21st. It is famos for desserts, but it is also a good choice for lunch and dinner. The outsite patio opened last summer and it is beautiful.
